Emma Morano
We met Emma Morano at her home in Italy, close to Milan. Her visiting physician, Dr. Carlo Bava, referred to Emma as “eternal.”
She had been briefly married to an abusive man, a situation that she would not tolerate. “I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone.” During the brief marriage, Emma gave birth to a son who only lived to be eight months old.
We filmed Emma in her apartment and listened to her sing. A photo of her baby son was placed inside her coffin before it was lowered into the ground.
